Don't be an asshole and vote no to surrender. It wastes everyone's time, and it is not honorable - in fact, id rather go out on my own terms. Look, I know that it's easy to say "I never give up!". But think of it this way:
Is there any chance, realistically, that I win this?
Am I wasting other people's time?

It's completely possible to win 4v5's/ Most of the time all that's required is for the enemy team to be arguing between each other, something that's not at all unlikely in League of Legends. If you want to look at plain statistics, here you go http://www.manaless.com/2015/05/afk-4v5-games-analysis-using-kaplan.html. There's a 10% chance that you will win if your afk teammate never connects. That might not seem worth your time, but when you consider that some people take 50+ games to win series, You have no place to measure the value of their time.
Am I wasting other peoples time? No. They are diluting themselves and wasting their own time. If you're time too precious to waste 10 minutes over a 90% chance as well as 15-25 league points (or dozens of future games if you'll get demoted), You're time is far to precious to go on the boards and complain
It's a vote. You don't get to tell people how to cast their vote. That's simply something you don't get to do. They can waste their vote if they want, but it is ultimately up to them to cast it.
Also are people still taking the "waste of time" argument seriously? You're playing a video game.
