Does anyone knows the formula to calculate Swain's ultimate mana cost?

I am failing to do the formula by myself, the formula on lol wikia seems to no work, and I really want to know how many seconds he can stand on his ult with only rod of ages

Depends on ranks in ult.

I'll break down the wiki formula for you:

S = [0.25 + (25+2M)/a + 625/a^2] ^ 0.5 - 25/a - 0.5

At level 18 with a fully stacked RoA, Swain has 1824 mana (1174 base and 650 from RoA), so the equation would look like this:

S = [0.25 + (3673/7) + (625/49)] ^ 0.5 - (25/7) - 0.5 S = [524.96 + 12.76]^0.5 - 3.07 S = 23.19 - 3.07 S = 20.12 seconds

So I did quite a bit of rounding past the second decimal, but essentially at level 18 with a fully stacked RoA you can keep your ult up for 20 seconds as Swain. Make sense?

I see how it can be confusing because the Wiki didn't add brackets and parenthesis where they weren't technically necessary, so if you were subtracting the 25/a - 0.5 from the ^0.5 it would give you a dramatically different number.

Ownnn, thank you, now I understand the formula. It was very confusing, but you enlightened it for me. I was elevating the 524.96 + 12.76 to a huge number, which wasn't make any sense. Thanks
