Can we get rid of the Intent to Pick in the new Teambuilder Champ Select?

I honestly think its a bad idea to let others know what your going to play and or want to play. Considering solo queue, people will just ban it, just to spite you or because they don't like the champion.

You could say you have the "Intent" to pick a different champion during that time frame, but then the whole "Intent" to pick is kind of a useless feature. And just takes up another whole 30 seconds of champ select.

Though I'd think it work great in Ranked 5's, just for the visual and adds to better communication. (But not in Solo Queue, especially considering you can have 4 man pre-mades and COMPLETELY screw over a dude)

Also as a side note, remove the option to have 4 man pre-mades for the new experience (Everything else can stay). Doesn't work at all in normals , my god how horrible it would be in ranked.

you don't have to pick a specific champion that you intend to play. it's just a tool to communicate better. you can't create a system that only takes the worst case scenario as the only possible input.

It's there to help you. If you want to fake hover something else and not let your team build to complement it because you're afraid it'll get banned away, that's up to you. I've openly announced my pick for a good bit now, and nobody has troll banned Nami.

This just happen to me. I main fid mid. I can play it into anything. I don't play anything mid very well besides that. I've played some akali before but under another account long ago and always top. so long ago i'm not even comfortable trying her out anymore. and I try ziggs just for safe wave clear but rarely every win.

duo queued draft normal. got matched with a 3 man group. they admitted after they banned out my fiddle that I had selected intent/hovered; that they accidently did it :) cause they didnt' notice: "oops". And that they were grouped and that the jungler asked the support to do it.

Oh well I took ziggs, told them i'd try but that the odds were a loss was on the way, and they said i'd not need to do anything at all they guarantee the win on their own. :P

I'm hesitant to ever provide real intent anymore ever. Nobody ever knew at ban time before i'd be fiddle mid; and rarely ever complained. And now they always will know and i'll get trolled more often than the show intent option is worth to me.

edit: also want to point out this is an option I thought that I really wanted before it ever existed I even asked for it in a comment or two somewhere in the boards. at least I can still know what my teammates are thinking to choose. but its not worth the risk now to let them now what im going to choose.
