I am tired of opening my client to have 10 requests from fake silly lvl 1 spammers talking about elo boosting me. DO something asap, this is ridiculous, i don't know which requests are from friends and which are silly fakes.
Can we all pls share this so riot is forced to do something about it?
Godhri3 votesWhat's ridiculous is you expecting a miraculous fix. They can't just implement a haphazard fix for it. If it was that simple, they'd have done it already as it is affecting their business obviously. I'm pretty sure they already mentioned that they are working on an effective way of dealing with this issue already so it's not likely you'll even get a read by a rioter.
Oddysseas1 votesUhm these are lvl1 accounts, they can disable friend requests to lvl 1 accounts and problem solved noce and easy. Everything else is just excuses

They can prevent people from joining the q after the dodged the previous one for 6 minutes but they can't prevent lvl 1 accounts from making friend requests ????

I really don't care if a lvl 1 dude gets offended by the fact that they can't make a friend request when it takes 1 match or 2 to get to lvl2. I didn't say that disabling lvl1 friend requests will fix the issue, but they could at least try it and see what happens.
When it comes to programming part, i can tell you that it's so easy to do this, it doesn't even take that much effort.

I would rather them come up with a better solution to the problem than just something that can be dealt with in a matter of matches. Do you want botters in your Normal so that they can bypass the level requirements? i sure as hell dont!

honestly i don't think riot would have a problem executing a restriction like that. the question is, is that what they want to do? it could easily lead to bots spamming games in dominion and vs ai to get to level 2.
Sarutobi1 votesbut thats already a problem. we have so many bots in other game mode, sooner or later they will infect normal and rank matches! this type of problem would only increase the number of bots because all they would need to do is queue up and bot the game because all they are doing is leveling to get that restriction and im sure they would just spam more people with whom they are playing with!

Sarutobi1 votesNot only that but whats stopping these botters to just playing games to level up? if that were the case we would be seeing more bot in our regular games which is obviously something they dont want as its already a problem now, but would increase if they had a limit of the level you need to friend request.
While ill admit i dont have this problem i really dont see whats the problem aside from it being a minor inconvenience! first off you shouldnt be adding people you dont know or regularly play with. if someone is level one its pretty obvious you shouldnt be adding these people. im sure you can tell the different between an actual friend sending you a request and some random botter whose doing it to advertise!

Riot has made statements on this, if you care to go look them up. They are aware of the problem, and they are working on solutions that won't be so easily counteracted as your approach would be.
Edit: Also, not allowing level 1's to friend hurts real players, too. Another reason why they can't just slap on a band-aid fix like that.

I have never had a level 1 account send me a friend request offering me a boost, I also don't get junk emails offering me free cars, vacations, or porn that are most likely filled with spyware and viruses. You want to know why I don't have any of these things happen? I don't do things to encourage these type of spammers to send me emails/friend requests, and if by chance I do get these, I most certainly wouldn't accept them.
Wait, .. I just had an idea, ... maybe you could just not accept their request ...

They are downvoting because you put no thought into your solutions which should be obvious to you they won't work, and you are saying it would be easy to do while simultaneously saying you have no idea how it would be done.
Don't take it too harshly. Think through the consequences of a proposal before making it.
