Are acronyms less toxic than the actual phrase?
I hate the word toxic in this instance but I couldn't think of another word so deal with it for now.
I don't like to use acronyms and lately I have noticed that people react different to the actual phrase compared to the acronym.
As example, when my team decides it is time to play the blame/flame game and I can't bring an end to it through civil and rational means I say "All of you need to shut the fuck up" and it is met with an awkward silence whereas if someone says "stfu" it is more or less ignored and the argument continues. However, the flame war generally comes to an end after I tell them to shut the fuck up but I wonder if I am more likely to get punished compared to someone that just types 'stfu'.
The acronym and the phrase are the same... but are they viewed the same by the community and by Riot?
