I have no personal opinion on Morde because I never played him but...

Anyone that has visited the bored lately can see that Riot has really really messed up. Consistent threads complaining about the rework. Multiple top threads complaining about the title change. Permanent pick/ban in Worlds and Solo Queue. Little to no complaining about the new champ release. Morde is so distracting that for the first time in the history of league there has been damnnear no complains about a new release.

Riot, I don't care how much time and money you put into the rework. I don't care how hard you have worked to defend the rework. You have pissed off a champions entire playerbase and continue to do it. That is a HORRIBLE business practice. At this point I think you should apologize for the rework and start over. If you are so invested in a champion that is like what you are trying to turn Morde into then just make a new one and give the Morde players Morde back. At some point you need to admit that you are wrong.

That's okay you can ban Morde while I swim in freelo because the only way morde can hurt you is if he stands next to you and adcs have 500-650range to MOVE AWAY from him or something

Unfortuantely, most people are like you.

They form an opinion having never played Morde, with no intention of playing Mordekaiser. With all the banning, most people probably don't even play AGAINST morde that much so... So why should riot listen to that?

You don't need to play a champion in order to form an opinion. Just watch Worlds post juggernaut patch and you can form your own valid opinion. Play against him in ranked if he ever gets through, which happens, and you can form an opinion. Read the +100 upvote morde main threads and form an opinion.

I watched worlds, I've played him in ranked and in normals, and I have opinions on him other than blind hatred, but most people dont want to hear that because they're too busy mourning a champion they never played and never intended to.

As far as forming an opinion based on thread upvotes, thats exactly the kind of "sheepish" mentality that I was talking about. A lot of people hate the new morde because a lot of people hate the new morde.

For instance, was morde banned in pro play because he is overpowered, or just far too outside the meta for pros to risk and/or adapt to? Thats a discussion I wish I could find, instead of the endless morde hate circlejerk.

Let's put it this way, in Worlds at least in the matches I saw, if he wasn't banned he was picked and he dominated. He is incredibly powerful.

I don't have a sheep mentality. I don't hate morde. I think he is not fun in any manner to play against but I don't hate him. I am simply saying that Riot wronged Morde's dedicated players and needs to fix it.

I think the old morde was stupid af. He has a much more intelligent design now. Mind you, he's pretty stronk, but he's not exactly the only 'pretty stronk' champ at the moment

Old Morde was stupid in my opinion but new Morde can't be any better or healthier for the game. He either hits 3 Qs and wins or he doesn't and loses. Also, even when pros play against him if Morde gets a dragon you will lose a tower to it. That is an incredibly unhealthy mechanic.

Old Morde needs a rework. I won't argue that. But when almost all the people that mained him consistently lash out against the changes then they need to be reconsidered. And when the current rework feels worse than the old one then it needs to be seriously looked at.

You still can't just ignore a vocal minority. Besides, last time I saw the vocal minority being this vocal was when they originally released fiora's splash for her rework. They kept asking for the streak of hair and it quite literally had the same amount of threads making this request.

The vocal minority exists, and ignoring them isn't exactly something you should do if you've gotten this many of them angry.

So by that logic Sion never deserved a rework because all of the fans of his old kit including me didn't want him to change but riot did it anyway.

Except the Sion rework is held as the standard for what a complete rework should be. You may not have wanted the rework but the rework was successful. It made his theme better and made his kit healthier for the game. The morde rework seems to have failed at both those aspects.

I think you are completely obtuse and wrong. You are doing a huge malpractice of simple math. Here's a newsflash for you.

Add up all the upvotes and threads about Morde, not even counting the fact it's mostly 1 group of people complaning. Take into consideration that Riot has 65+ million players. You currently will only find about 1.2k of people complaining, that's like saying North America should become a autocracy because there's a group of people at a church that believe, so. The reality is, the vast majority of players. 99.9% Do no care about the Morde change.

The thing is, not every player of LoL is a member of the boards here. However, it represents a group of dedicated and (hopefully) experienced players, and when all of their input is put towards complaining about Mordekaiser, something is definitely wrong.

Vel'Koz didn't have any complaints. Actually, people were complaining how weak and immobile he was on release, haven't seen any legitimate "Vel'Koz OP" threads in my life, yet.

It's almost like they released a champion that had strengths and weaknesses. I don't like Vel (just not good with him). But Never once have I ever said "his kit is unfair/toxic". He should be an example for Riot.

Yeah yeah, I know the playerbase likes being stagnant, anti-progress and without any semblance of long term memory but at least wait for the marksman rework. Or better yet, try out some new strats vs the Morde lanes. Remember how some people wanted to change the bot lane meta? Of course you don't.

Even though you never play Morde, you're right. I was a Morde main, and after they created that unholy abomination they call a rework, I lost interest in the game, and have pretty much stopped playing ever since. Morde needs to be fixed.
