Can't we just play for fun?

First Hexakill match and in the lobby someone is barking orders and talking strategy. I just picked Hexakill to have fun. I don't want to have to play 'what is best'. I don't want to have a strategy. I want to play a light-hearted game and just have fun.

Some people find strategy and trying your very best fun, some people like casually getting into a game and not caring about what will happen. Everyone is different.

Its like this. Idiots are going to be idiots. These game modes are what bring the fun lovers and the competitive together. Its not fun until its close to being over because by then you start to have matches with those who are like you.

It's not like you have to listen or care about what they're saying. Use the mute button if it truly bothers you.

Sadly this is seen on every game mode. Even in URF this happened near the end of its lifetime. I'd just ignore the guy "barking orders" if you just want to mess around and have fun. Another option is advertise on the "Team Recruitment" or "Miscellaneous" boards that you're looking for 5 other people to play for fun in Hexakill.

I will shamelessly promote my thread that discusses what I think will help people get out of this mentality with new featured modes. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/GD/YEGNxGAK-when-will-riot-learn-win-x-amount-of-games-to-get-icon-ruins-new-game-modes

But yes, I 100% agree with you on there. Aren't the featured modes supposed to made with fun in mind, versus competitive play? (Let's be real, 6v6 on TT is pretty cramped considering the size of the map. More chaotic than competitively-balanced)
