Can we all agree

90% of the action happens on the bottom half of the map now, and top side gets maybe 1 ward for every 10 wards on bot side.

Dragon is a really important objective, spawns sooner than baron, and is easier to kill. Wards are essential around it. Additionally, you typically have the support, who usually buys a Sightstone, occupying the bottom lane.

We can all agree that wards seem to be placed on the bottom side of the map a lot more frequently than the top side, but what does that do? What were you hoping to accomplish with this thread?

This is true right up until you're the one playing top lane. In that case, the enemy bot lane somehow manages to find the time to roam all the way up there to kill you. Your team won't get a tower or dragon for it either.

Because top lane is an island. Nobody wants to visit you on that island.

Top lane is really hard to gank for because when the enemy sees my up there they usually take dragon which i don't really like when dragons are taken from that easily usually ill gank top if i know that either the enemy bot lane is really low and there is a ward at drag, or if the enemy jungler is down but aside from that it just really depends, sometimes top laners want me to gank when they always have the lane pushed then they get ganked because they are overextended then it just creates a huge mess and you probably know the rest of the story.

Nobody really wants to gank top for good reasons. That leaves bot lane (arguably the most important one) vulnerable to ganks/dives and if dragon is available, you basically give it away for a gank that is not even guaranteed to succeed (top laners are quite tanky so they're not as easy to kill/dive). Baron is unimportant until 20.

Basically, ganking top is way too high-risk-low-reward. It's only worth even trying if dragon is «safe» (or already dead) and the enemy top is overextended without Flash, or if you need to shutdown a big threat before it's too late (like an uncontested Nasus or Trynd).

I guess my point is this lacks diversity, not champion or strat diversity, but terrain diversity.

I donno, basically I feel like the top half of the map is almost irrelevant until 20+ min, mostly just for picking up some jungle camps before heading to the bot half, and while I have no idea how to change it, I strongly feel it should change.

some may say this is working as intended but I really feel the games shouldn't end without a few scraps on the top half of the map(not just the top lane) Its really repetitive.
