I don't know who leaked this, but it looks legit. Its Thoridus: the Monolith. Supposedly leaked in Japan, I'm just putting his image here.

Next, we have everyone's favorite (eyesore) that should had come out by now but whatever, Ao Shin. The lightning dragon that's look and model should be finished and kit should be in the works.

Nope, he was part of a champion design competition in China or Japan, he also showed up alongside art pieces like the original idea for arc light Zed and some other now familiar ideas.

Ao shin's kit, if I remember what riot said correctly, was still being worked on as the image shows. Thing is, they didn't know how to code it properly, so it's taking longer than they initially planned.

*Basically, they refuse to change it.

Now, I'm just mad that he isn't finished. They can make a champ like Kalista and Tahm Kench, but Ao Shin is impossible?

both incorrect.

Riot said the only reason why they couldnt do Ao SHin was because he was supposed to be a flying serpentine dragon, but they didnt have an engine that could properly create an animation that allowed him to fly and weave through the air when turning and moving in a normal fashion.

In short their system doesnt have the capacity to properly animate his model.

The issue isn't the flying animation as you've assumed it to be. making him go forward isn't a difficult at all.

The real issue is that Riot decided that they want his body to move like the dancers streamer in the video. Their Engine lacks the ability to make his body move and turn like a dancing ribbon when making him turn, move in circles, juke left/right, and various other things that would require a fluid motion.

Riot said that they simply cant pull of a model like Ao Shin and make him fluid like they want him to be. They also refuse to do him a disservice and dumb down his character motion to the point that it would hardly be anything special due to having all of the motion of a flying square.

When they showed this concept art, Ao Shin was nothing, but said image.

It wasn't about coding. They didn't even have his model done.

I doubt the first one just for name's sake, If he is truly the monlith, then Malphite Shard of the monlith, would just have to be lesser than Thoridus in every way for thematic reasons, but, well that's just my opinion
