Dear Riot, I think i'm going to stop playing Ranked solo queue forever.

Its pretty obvious that the majority of people I've played with in my past 6 years of league don't take solo queue as seriously as they should. Ive been to Diamond 3 and been as low as Silver 5. (never bronze though, phew). But i can say with full confidence there is no difference in the attitudes people approach the ranked environment with.

No matter what queue, no matter what MMR, NO MATTER WHAT RANK. People generally don't care about playing the game competitively and strategically in order to win the one game you're placed in. In the past couple months, I've been lucky to say the least to have gotten at least 1 person on my team who just can't find (excuse my language here) a single fuck.

I can play any other competitive / ranked game such as CounterStrike, WoW (pvp), guildwars, even world of tanks and people would still take the "ranked" environment 100x more seriously. If you don't think i'm being honest or you don't agree go ahead and tell me why i'm wrong below, But this is for Riot. Riot What have you done in this games lifespan to make people not take Solo queue seriously? You let people get away with really ridiculous stuff, such as trolling, afk'ing, feeding intentionally, and worst of all Not caring about the WIN.

Before i start to play any more ranked, I'd love to hear about Riots opinion on the matter, For me and i am 100% sure that there are a million other more cases like this where you just don't want to play the game anymore because it makes you feel angry and upset over the childish behavior exemplified through Solo queue.

There has to be a reason as to why people act a certain way in league compared to other games.

i agree with your opinion. too many times i get into a game, and someone dies a few times. which is alright, its just kills. and in my league where people don't take advantage of kills its even more alright. but then someone yells at the person. and suddenly the game becomes more about whose right and whose wrong , whose a piece of shit and whose a worse piece of shit. and less about the GAME. suddenly no body cares that this is ranked! THIS MATTERS. if we wanted a chill zone where we can do whatever we want, well, we got normal games for that, even bot games.

i personally believe peoples mentality about ranked is hindering the more serious players from really improving at the game. when people argue more than they play its basically a loss game, and why? not cause we're worse at the game, but because for some reason a select few members of our team prefer arguing over playing.

Disable chat in Ranked games. Pings are sufficient enough. Less caring whose right about a certain play or not, and more focus about the next plan of action.

There needs to be a mode where its taken 100% seriously. A mode where people actually care about improving their game play. Oh wait, there is already a mode for that, it was supposed to be called Ranked Mode.

I dont think disabling chat would be a good idea for "ranked" were strategy is the core of everything... Theres a more deep rooted issue that im trying to get at here. The fact that league of legends has been built to be a completely care free enviroment where "it doesn't matter its just a game" becomes the reason why I lose so many of my games.

What if chat limits were placed? Similar to chat restrictions. but less strict. I've had chat restriction once before, and i got along just fine. it let me message just a few times, which allowed for suggestions on what to do next. perhaps more in-depth suggestions, even what to do after that as my chat entries were limited needed to make the most of them.

But yes, you do make a valid point disabling chat would not completely work. i don't understand why people who say "its just a game" queue up for ranked....

In my honest opinion chat restrictions don't work, im always under them because i get grief reported most games, although i do admit to "flipping out" on some games, but its just a given with how much stress and anxiety the community gives me. I can't play a single game without a troll / feeder / afk person on my team. It feels like Riot wants me to deal with these people so i have a reason to be bald.

What im trying to say, is that its not about putting restrictions on people for talking. I believe that if we had VoIP we'd be better off. But harsher and stricter bans / restrictions to BEING ABLE TO PLAY RANKED SOLO QUEUE should be in place before hand.

If you go AFK and get reporeted, and found guilty. You should not be able to play ranked for at least a week, because that ruins games. If you get reported for Griefing you should be chat banned for X games, if you're reported for trolling, you should be put under "house arrest" where in the next 10 games you do something report worthy and found guilty you get a suspension.

Things along these lines need to be put in place for Ranked, to become a Competitive queue, not just a normal queue with LP gains.

I agree those would help. But this also gives the power to those who falsely report / judge. Riot would have to find themselves some serious judges that will personally look over the reports. (not actual judges of course, lmfao).

don't you think this will make people nervous to say anything in chat? what if i wanted to say something positive from my point of view, but someone takes it super offensively and reports me? then the people judging it also finds it offensives and not get to play ranked. Why Should i get punished for something i thought was positive?(just an example) This would just turn the person into a negative one. having been falsely punished, id be pretty Salty. and they would probably lash out at random people in future games. resulting in a chain of events that causes the person to get suspended.

idk, i'm just giving my opinion. while this may help, the possibilities of it not working are clearly visible. which would explain why riot's actions on the subjects remain unchanged.

A system that would work, and change things for the better has yet to be thought of.

Okay, the action / plan is simple. Have you ever played CS:GO? Theres this new nifty "overwatch" system when you get reported X amount of times you get sent there for 'review' and anyone with your case file can watch over the WHOLE ENTIRE game and judge whether or not you're hacking, griefing, trolling, deranking, throwing...etc.

A system much like this is NEEEDED for league, so instead of empty reports going in through the system and giving out chat bans within 10mins of the report, you'd actually need to be tried 'in court'.

Note; that if you're tried through this system the votes need to be anonymous for you to be getting the ban / punishment!

TL:DR Harsher punishments, trial by jury ruling

This does seem to be a valid plan... with the way their servers are now. people constantly complaining of lag and things of the sort. do you think they can handle the mass amounts of games on record? to be re-watched when needed?...even if they're deleted after X amount of time, the space required would is insane....

oh and throwing shouldn't be report-able ;) Even The top players in league throw from time to time haha.

I meant throwing intentionally as in afk'ing / griefing / leaving / int feeding.... so on and so forth.

Riot has 68+ Million players playing League of legends, why would it be a problem to attain something nearly all other mobas / shooters have already in place in their games?

but still...thats alot of work to be done. Riot cmon...The ground work from this thread has been made. you cant say you don't have the tools you need to solve this epidemic of trolls in ranked. This Epidemic Must Be Eliminated. Relentlessly.
