Ocean Week 2016

Why is this awesome event exclusive to OCE? I want to help to! The Ocean Week is supposed to be a global event The Ocean belongs to no one! Everyone should have the right to support it Why make something like this (with exclusive rewards) unique Why make something like this (with exclusive rewards) unique to a server?

Note: I am not against the event, I just want to understand why they would make something so important exclusive to one server Why make something like this (with exclusive rewards) unique

While I don't speak for any of the regional teams, from what I've seen within the OCE community, this is something that they've grown fond of, proud of, and something they can take ownership of. While, yes, the ocean does belong to everyone (and everyone should help sustain and support it), I think it's okay to let them have this event. The Riot OCE regional team and the OCE community have put a lot of work into making this event successful, so let's find other ways of supporting Ocean Week and the event :)
