The fact the post about her rework was taken down from the LOL website They giving feedback that the splash team will be informed of our opinion The above link where RiotScruffy says: "The art team is doing an iteration on the models too. It's looking good from the early shots I've seen. " The change they already did to the splash by giving her the red hair back

I think soon enough they will repost the rework news with a better looking facial model (for all skins) plus a changed Splash art

I am grateful they are giving some feedback (even if it should be in an official riot post addressing all concerns instead of little things in reddit)

And thank them for listening to us (even if they weren't clear that they were)

Well, the Fiora champion update announcement has not been taken down.

The art changes on the model and splash are simply the ChampUp fixing what they clearly got wrong on the PBE. Fact is, they exist in a bubble that is very hard to burst but when you are able to reach them, they'll try to make things better.

Then again, there are people on this team who were involved in the whole "Trundle thing" a few years ago...

The page still exists but it is no longer in the main page as a highlight despite still being new and just out of curiosity what is the "Trundle thing"?

It's at the bottom of the front page. It was just pushed out of that top five box for some reason (too much Bilgewater, I guess, and it had to be pumped out for space).

...and just out of curiosity what is the "Trundle thing"?

(Warning: A lot of this is going to be hyperbole, but I think that adds to the fun!)

In April 2013, an event patch for the Freljord was released and teased on the PBE. This patch changed many things, such as moving Gragas to the Freljord for beer reasons (seriously), turning Olaf from a crafty warrior to a berzerker who could not die in battle, turned Ashe from a politically savvy tribal leader into a younger woman with a "King Arthur" style "I found a bow and now I am queen" bio, attempted to remove the Ionia out of Udyr, etc...

The biggest change, however, was that Trundle, the Plague Troll, was completely retconned and destroyed, only to be replaced with the vastly inferior Trundle, the Troll King. Gone was a (mostly) sympathetic tale of a bullied troll who took on his tribe's curse. Instead, we got a generic ice troll (think the "Wampa" from Star Wars only with a more annoying voice.)

The reasoning for this was: Someone created an ice troll skin for Trundle and the team decided it should be the new base.

So, when the proposal was met with the typical enthusiasm from the player base (none), the team got upset: They accused the angriest players of "being in a vocal, but insignificant minority," they whined that they didn't like being accused of "murdering a champion, then dancing on the graves while drinking martinis in celebration, and they just said "we're doing this, so tough $^^^ if you don't like it!" and refused to communicate further.

The fact that people still bring up Trundle to them in conversation about other champ reworks shows how royally the company screwed up in both communication and dealing with their critics.

Of course, Riot says they've learned "important lessons" from Trundle, but they just do more of the same stuff. (See Stashu's broken promise to continue working on Cassiopeia and how heavily they ignored fans complaints about Sona and Skarner as examples).

Again, there was probably a lot more hyperbole than necessary.

Holly... I didn't know that... Didn't use the forums at that time I actually got trundle because of the rework but that is besides the point Very bad way of dealing with it from their part But so far they seem to be dealing with the fiora issue Even if they could be be more vocal about it

Rito seriously needs some community managers Something like DE Rebbeca for Warframe

They may not think so but a good community manager makes everything alot smoother both to tell them what we think of changes and our desires and to tell us what they plan to do in regard to said opinions and desires

"Hijacking. There's a delicate balance we want to strike here. We're intentionally moving our characters to a more stylistic take. This tends to include more chiseled shapes and even exaggeration of features. The trend will indeed move us to a less "realistic" treatment of some characters. (see new vs old Ganglank, lots of style changes there) That's an artistic choice we as a department are making. Summoner's rift is a great example of this.

That said, we are looking into some tweaks to the splash. Mainly focusing on lessening some of the chiseling on her face and some other minor changes.

Rioters will lie to you. There is no reason to trust anything they say.

Meddler said not too long ago that Fiora's VU would be "more than Kassadin's, but less than Miss Fortune's".

This is obviously a lie.

Don't expect the playerbase to take their assurances that they are actually listening in good faith.

Well they said they were gonna change and they did, just add the red back and a glint of a smile and I would be happy If you dislike the company so much then don't support them, simple as that I still live in a world with hope that a company is comprised of people with passion and not machines with dollar signs for eyes

Good. But are they going to release a classic Fiora skin and remove all the other unnecessary edits to the skins? It's kind of funny, but she only really needed a kit rework. Her model and skins still held up fantastically. Her new hairstyle didn't fit the outfits at all, and it still doesn't look right. It still feels like something was lost in this rework, and It's sad to say, that while I enjoyed playing Fiora, and do like the idea of her new kit, I probably won't be playing her again because of the visual overhaul. They kind of butchered her visually just as much as they kind of butchered Miss Fortune. Sure, there's that new pizzazz and rigging, but it's jarring. Like some sort of doppelganger that doesn't quite measure up took their place.

It makes me fear what they might to do Jax and some of my other favorite champions in the future.
