Bard has a 39% winrate

I kind of prefer when champions are op on release... at least when one is on my team my teams moral doesn't immediately tank. At least someone can pick an op release champion and not be called a troll before the match even starts.

I mean, has anyone had a shittier release than Bard? Has anyone been as useless as Bard? Has anyone picked Bard and not been flamed for it? Riot, please don't ever let this kind of champion happen again.

The reason one plays Bard is two fold.

  1. They like to have the hatred of their team bearing down upon them.

  2. They think lol is too easy and need a challenge.

release lucian was 'bard levels of bad' as far as i remember, release nami was pretty awkward to play too

You know who else was called useless after her release? Kalista

You know who has gotten more QQ than anyone (excluding Lee Swin)? Kalista

I've seen Bards who know what they're doing, and they can set up their team like no one's business. However he is a very selective pick, so he's going to suffer in soloQ where no one can coordinate and rarely does anyone consider team comp.

His ult is maybe the hardest ult in the game to use... not to say it isn't exceptionally powerful, but it has no margin of error. I have saved my adc from a three person gank by ulting all three of the enemy while not ulting my adc (and i feel like a god). I have also ulted the enemy thinking i was setting up a great engage only to have zed deathmark someone right before my ult lands meaning i not only cancel out his ult but also trap him in the middle of the enemy team...

they need to make it so his Q doesnt hit minions, like ezrael W. The champion is literally unplayable because of this. All the opposing bot lane has to do is stand in the minion wave and all you can do is auto attack. its worthless range is a problem too but it would be too strong if you increased the range as well.

Remember release LeeSin and Lucian, or post-rework Rengar? Everybody was building wrong, playing wrong, saying the champ was so weak. And then people start to learn good build paths or good playstyles, and the QQ turned on its head.

It will happen again. And again. And again. And I doubt people will ever learn.

closest i can think off might be quinn. lucian and yasuo on release werent that great until later buffs. Bard overall has an interesting concept, but i dont know how great it is really and i think his chime collecting could be improved.

I think Bard's biggest downfall is that no one bothered to learn how to play WITH him on their team. Most people I team with aren't fully aware of what his kit does, or how he works. It's like when Thresh released and no one took his lantern at first because they didn't know, except it's for every ability Bard has.

Syndra was %25 winrate at release. And she was keeping it until her buffs.

Well, since he is OP, then your preference is fulfilled...

I pick Bard and don't get flamed for it... Bard is OP as shit. In fact, by the end of the season, you'll see bard played top lane and jungle.
