Please Read, this is about a rank game that I lost but still had fun playing.
So, I'm going top. There's just one problem, I usually only support. So, I have to decide what champion, out of the half I have to go top. I could go with the usual and go
or
, or I could go more unusual and chose
or
. But I chose none of the above. I went as the one person you'd never expect to be seen in a ranked match...
.
Our team comp, as I knew from the champion select was a little... unusual, so I had doubts of us winning but I went ahead.
In mid lane, it was our
vs
. We had a
, they had
in jungle. We had
and
vs
and
in bot lane. And I was against
in top.
Now,
was the one that made me worry. She was being very peticular about who would select what champion for their position. She had asked for
over
but it didn't happen, and someone about to play
was asked to get a champion "with a better kit" was the exact phrase she'd used, so that person went as
in the jungle.
We get into the match and I'm doing great against Kennen. Having played Yorick a lot in Normal matches, I knew his strength came from being tanky in late game, but he also had the ability to be able to use items like
while also being able to use items like
for proper use. I started getting
knowing it would benefit both his massive mana use and passive (+ a bonus for his W) and was able to get 1 kill out of
and was also able to push to tower and eventually, using my ultimate, destroy it with minimal damage to myself.
Things went down hill after wards, though we had pushed hard and even got the bot turret;
couldn't get a good gank, and I believe
had a hard time healing everyone and being of proper use.
Those things didn't annoy me at all, since people lag and stuff, but the one thing that really made me wonder was no one would try to push or initiate.
When in a team fight,
stood off in the back ground trying to use her Q and W, not sure if she use the E.
would mostly use his W to stun an enemy but not use his Q to initiate with.
had a bad lag, so I feel bad for her... And
would also stand in the background, fling a Q and turn into panther to run away.
It wasn't until we lost and went into the lobby that
said something that made my day. She said I was the
best she'd seen, ever. The first to be able to use
so well.
I don't really know myself if I am one of the best
players. I also began to wonder why
said she hated this team...
The other team was the ones who reported her.
I think, yes its nice to win, but don't (please don't) go toxic when you're losing. Its ridiculous and immature. I kept silent the whole time we were losing just so that we didn't have to bicker. I'd rather have fun playing
and lose with both teams saying things to each other of their good moments in the game rather than to win a game but have no fun player whoever with a team that cares more about winning than sportsmanship and having fun.
And one last thing, if I'm allowed.
is a lot of fun to learn. Once you understand how to play as him, it might make the game a little more fun.
I like playing as champions people barely play. It's hard, but a lot more fun that you think. With the constant changes to items, runes, masteries, and the area, the champion also changes (even if they never changed his kit over the period of time).
