Why was Gavid scraped? I know he was used to make Zyra but still...

As interesting as he is, I still think it's super cool they shoved his (and other scrapped champions) in coffins in one of the Halloween skins for Summoners Rift. I wouldn't want to see "Gavid" restored without something about that coming through in his lore, but I'd be OK if a second plant person came out of his concepts.
That said, a melee plant person is where Maokai fits in.
He'd certainly be interesting. He also looks more monstrous. Zyra is cool and all but she's basically a sexy woman with leafy stuff.

It seems like his concept got split between Maokai (Giant beastly man tree), and Zyra (plant magey chick).
They need to bring him back just so the only thing he can say is "I am Gavid." :3
Every now and then people dig up champion concept like rob and spider queen and ask why they never made it as a champion. The answer is always the same, they thought they could make better ones, that's it.
