what is the point of picking shaco?
Shaco is so weak in late game, his damage is good but as a meele champion he has to get close before he can hurt anyone, and he gets blown up every time.

Shaco has extreme early game pressure, and his late game isn't that bad, it's just that with him you have to take a Zed approach, meaning you try not to focus on teamfighting, since that not you're strong suit, rather you just pick off people who are wandering alone and/or you split. Also, shaco easily has the potential to one to 2 shot a carry late game if he can get behind them.
Get hydra and he can waveclear crazy fast. His boxes + ult can shred towers. He can easily 2 shot a squishy (mid laner/adc/supp/teemo) late game before they can react.
He just needs to get ahead to be any use
Shaco is a split pusher. Note that the champion window says Assassin also.
If you're a K/D junkie that doesn't care about winning as long as you last hit champs for a high kill number.
