I feel like some of the toxicity of other players has rubbed off on me.
So is it just me? I clearly remember when I started playing this game I knew about the game's piss poor community and I told myself I would always do my best to be positive in every game.
So after hundreds of games and countless occasions of people insulting me for bad plays, making an error, being miss positioned, being a shit jungler that deserves to get cancer and the best of all, people blaming me for their own mistakes (let's face it, we've all had that ADC that pushes the lane in with no vision and gets easily killed while you're backing for items and calls you an idiot for not being there) I feel that I've become more toxic than ever. I ignored it at first, and I stayed positive but starting a few weeks ago I can't help but be toxic.
Now I'm not the kind of toxic person that will say something like "wow you're shit at jungling uninstall" or "Holy shit are you mentally challenged" I'm the kind of toxic person that makes sarcastic remarks when someone makes a mistake. For example, our top laner (who's been toxic) makes a bad dive and gets killed by the enemy before I can get there and help, I'll say something like "What a god dive" or "Is that (insert professional top laner here)?". It's become my defense mechanism when I get other toxic teammates. And now it's starting to spread to players who aren't even toxic.
I'm not proud of it at all, and today I got a warning message for negative attitude for the first time in almost a year of playing this game. I hate being like that, I know my sarcasm does not help at all and can even hurt people's feelings. I regret it, I want to go back to being positive. But I can't help it because it's my only weapon against people who are way more toxic and insult me for even the slightest error.
Yes I know there's a mute button but I don't think that stops the person from reading what I type, or at least the other players on the team.
