i just went up against an actually good riven that knew how to cancel AA's. it was absolute bullshit. i couldn't be her level 2 with exhaust, i couldn't beat her under my tower, and we couldn't even kill her in teamfights. the second she got the first kill on me and came back with cdr boots i knew she was gonna hard carry.

there are so many bad rivens out there, but the good ones will absolutely fuck your day up.

if you see this, riven i played against, thanks for making my team rage at me and all around making that game no fun.

Against Riven, it's just best to start item 1029 5

15 armor isn't gonna save me from 20% bonus ad empowered autos, 2 stuns, and a shield.

The difference is that you can stay in lane far longer than having say item 1036 or item 1054 . If you are Garen or Shen or any tank champion, you can build item 3068 out of that cloth armor. Riven is just that champion you have to deal with and learn around it. I usually use Darius. Sometimes I don't do good in lane but later on in team fights, I know what to do against a Riven.

Your champions decides everything. If you are melee, then run these rubes instead. 9 armor SCALING seals. 2 flat armor quints. 9 ad marks. 1 ad quint. For glyphs ur choice. Start with cloth armor and you will have around 40-50 armor level one. You can also run 9-21-0 masteries as well to give you more armor and what not. The purpose is that you will have armor but you still will see riven dealing damage tho. This setup is here to SURVIVE lane. Another tip against her is to keep vision on her. Have TP as well cuz a paradise for riven is a roaming riven. The only way to defeat is three things.

1: You play her. I usually don't like doing this especially for this champion, but you will see her faults. You will see the enemy laner dealing with her. Learn from them.

2: Watch pro Riven players e.g. BRNA or Boxbox and see them play. Loom at their play style and see THEIR mistakes.

3:You just have to fight so many rivens that you test everything against her. What items are best against her? Should I go damage? Should I go tank?

4: You also have the option to ban her (assuming you plat in ranked),
