I am in a 2 man premade on ranked. I am Veiger mid, and do extremely well early game( 6-1-4) while the rest of my team is around 2-8 in every lane. I am the only person to WIN lane. Every other person is tower diving, getting killed, chasing into jungles, getting killed....and I refuse to follow for the obvious reasons. I start getting berated and verbally abused because they are frustrated.

Now.....the enemy isn't even very good, I've farmed very well, and I can ult ANYONE on their team and kill them, as they have 3 AP champs (Sona, Annie and Ekko) and a weak ass Vayne. I instead choose that no, I can take the loss to prove a point. I refuse to carry this game for a bunch of toxic players that are demeaning to me because I don't know them personally, so they feel the need to throw the blame at me. I sit in base because of this. Sure, I can mute them and win, but what does that teach? That you can be toxic and treat someone like shit and you still get the win and it's all good?

So what happens, they all report me and of course I get leaver bustered for it, and they go off scott free to their next game.....as my one report won't mean dick to your system.

I would like to believe in team work, and mimic the real world as much as possible. If you are in a team working on a project and you have 4 people telling a member that he's a fucking loser and insulting him, are you just going to stand by and complete the work and hand it in for them and give them the A? Maybe in your world Riot, but not in mine.

5 people were happy because of your teams loss, 6 if you count your satisfaction in not "winning for your team" - and I've been where you're at.

The key is finding a way above the toxicity if at all possible and just play your best. It's easy to give up. It's harder to give it your all for a team that goes negative for whatever reason, try to stay positive, and still lose.

On the other hand - I've pulled a lot of bad-ass comebacks, toxic teammates be d*#$&d. I guess it all depends on what you're on the Rift for. Don't forget to leave it there.

Neither person is in the right. They shouldnt have berate you, but you also didnt have to afk at base. You could have been the bigger person and just ignore them and continue to play the game. but you were selfish and decided that you shouldnt help in a team match.
