Need some insight from high Plat/Diamond players

Hey so yeah, I just made it into plat a couple days ago. So plat 5. My peak so far.

I scratched my way out of Gold 5 0LP by learning from my mistakes and learning/improving game mechanics.

I have a 52% winrate through Gold, and had relatively good win streaks and some slumps. It took me 3 shots to win my plat promos. But I'm happy I finally got it...

But now, for some fucking reason, I just lose, and lose, and lose... I have won 4 games of my last 20... I'm at 0LP and my MMR is absolutely dreadful and I am worried I'll fall back to Gold... I don't want that... So I just need some insight.

I usually main Jungle (Kindred RekSai and Nautilus ) specifically, but in the past games I've been giving myself a shot at top and support just to see if I could help myself. I'm just playing so horribly, I don't get it.. I try learning new champs once in a while, for the sake of it..

My observations are:

  1. I die more often, although I changed nothing from my playstyle..
  2. I noticed that mispositioning is far more punishing the higher I go
  3. I get outjungled so fucking much... and I'm oblivious as to how to counter it beyond having vision, maybe?
  4. Me stomping early game doesn't impact mid game as much, maybe because people start to know how to play from behind as I go up? idk

So... I know this isn't obvious. None of you watched me play my last games, and you can't judge my tilt level accordingly from reading a post. But if anyone in high plat or diamond has a tip or trick to offer.. Champ specific or macro-wise.. Anything. What is your personal observation about low plat? What mistakes are common down here, cuz I'm having a hard time pin pointing it..

D5 here, so not too high but I might be able to help. Firstly I would say that kindred post the most recent nerfs is extremely weak and I'd say they're not viable anymore. But I digress. Jungling (or any role for that matter) in high Elo is less about mechanics, which are generally considered to be more or less on point, but more about playing the map. Being in the right place at the right time. Make smart decisions. Many players hit a wall because they can understand the concept of getting outplayed on a micro level, since it's usually fairly obvious. But getting outplayed on the map is a lot more nuanced.

As a jungler you should always be weaving farm into maintaining pressure. Pressure doesn't just mean ganks, it means counterjungling based on where you know the enemy jungler is, it means maintaining vision.

I've seen a lot of Plat V players, and based on observations of the ones that find themselves stuck there I have a few observations.

  • Inability to accept macro mistakes - instead blaming micro execution instead of the overall bad macro decision on their part
  • Over-focussing on their own personal flavour of the month champions, rather than picking a strong set of champions and sticking to it
  • Not using vision as a resource to accomplish things
  • Lack of focus on objective control

You're probably just making reckless decisions and the enemy is capitalizing on it. In your jungle, when someone catches you and tries to kill you, ping it. Usually the laner will come help and you can all get a kill, or scare them away. And when you stomp early game, you gotta use that as an opportunity to get objectives. If you not lane is 6/0, then get the turret so they can roam and get the other lanes ahead.
