So, I started League late-June of this year, and I enjoyed it at first... but now I just can't pretend that I really enjoy it anymore. Every game, my team is filled with people who really don't belong in ranked at all, and every game, I have to deal with Riot's F2P scumbag excuse for "balance," where someone comes along, clicks on me, and instantly kills me with no chance of counterplay or anything, since it's all targeted abilities anyway.

I thought Riot might actually care about their game, but now I know that they really couldn't fucking care less, and will do nothing more than what is necessary to milk whales and gullible kids in their cash shop. So, yeah, balance? Doesn't exist. It's either play a champion that puts me to sleep and win with zero effort, or play a champion I enjoy and have my ass absolutely handed to me by generic clicker #243 and #152 -- all because they left or right-click on me and automatically win.

So I'm done pretending I enjoy this game, but I have no choice but to continue playing it since I have no other game to turn to, and nothing else to do. Sure do have to love what modern society has done to gaming, and I really do love how many people buy into the scam that is F2P.

Thanks, Riot. I really do enjoy being clicked on by an ADC and melting, or having Riven exploit a fucking bug to instantly do her whole combo and kill me, or having Xin click me to death. It's really fun!

So I'm done pretending I enjoy this game, but I have no choice but to continue playing it since I have no other game to turn to, and nothing else to do.

Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this. There is SO MUCH STUFF OUT THERE. Do you want options? I can tell you so many things, my child.

Sure, give me options. I have no friends, live in the middle of Warehouse City (so nowhere I can go), don't have any video games I really enjoy anymore that I haven't beaten a thousand times over (and even if I go out and buy a game, that's maybe a few days at best. I need something that will last for years), no hobbies that I can do for days on end, none of that.

So I'd love some suggestions.

Minecraft would have so many years of my life if I could. So much fun.

Skyrim lasts nearly forever with mods, so I hear.

I also love civilization. Whole series good, 5 phenomenal. Lotta people love Hearthstone. Hearthstone may be my best suggestion yet.

Played any tabletop RPGs? Is that your thing at all?

I don't enjoy Minecraft or other sandbox games, just get bored. I like having an objective or some other goal to work towards.

I've played Skyrim so much that I never want to see it again -- reaching that point with Fallout, since no mods add any content yet.

Don't really enjoy RTS -- but I do I like Hearthstone, though the P2W is just too much for me.

As for tabletop RPGs, I have no friends, so that's not really an option. I've always wanted to try one, though.

Basically a bunch of people trying to find tabletop groups. I know a lot of people that made really good friends playing rpgs with random people they met.

I've always wanted to learn to play guitar. We're now getting pretty far-fetched... but I was just telling my wife this afternoon how little time I felt like I had to do all the shit I want to do. Boredom is unknown to me.

I hear Rocket League is a blast. I would own that in a heartbeat, as well; seem like good pvp that stays fun.

Do you enjoy Diablo at all?

I've been complaining about the "balance" since I started playing -- long before preseason was even being thought about. And, as always, the easiest champs are, by far, the strongest -- even mathematically. Even in Worlds, what kind of champs did you see? Just a bunch of targeted abilities and CC spam. So it's either win and be bored, or lose and potentially have fun doing it. Horrible design philosophy.

I'd say the most easy champs are stuff like Yi ashe and the lot. Of which i don't see much off. (well, ashe has become a lot more popular at the end of the season). Either way the games are what you make of it. Every champ has a counter. Or at least a way to play around it.

You sir don't know how to have fun.

  1. Mute everybody
  2. Pick support
  3. No matter what support, build full attack speed
  4. Keep telling your master (ADC) to support you
  5. Have fun do random crap seriously I don't get why people make a big deal out of ranked it's not like you're getting to challenger anyways. Make a side account if you spent lots of money on your main

I have done attack speed Bard Braum Fiddlesticks Anivia Velkoz Lulu Janna Bard and Braum work best.
