None of the other game modes has had an impact as big as URF on the servers

BOTH URFs might I add did this to the servers.

This should tell you something Riot..Get rid of dominion or ARAM or TT and implement URF for casual players or at least make it a custom only game mode.

In fact i've never seen anything Riot's released have an impact THIS huge on the servers. Not to mention it's had this impact TWICE.

No, i'm not counting the horrible time during late season 3 where your servers constantly shut down day after day, with no compensation btw thx for that

Oi, some of us actually like playing TT, ARAM and Dom.

Anyways they've been pretty adamant on their reasons against making it permanent. I wish it was more than every April but I have to agree with them, it would get pretty dull after a few months. It got pretty dull after 2 weeks last year, really, though largely due to the few broken champs and the multitude of disabled champs really stagnating the games. Hopefully that's fixed this time round. But still, I can see it getting dull and the novelty will just run out in time.

Dominion got dull pretty quick, and yet we are stuck with it. It has turned into a cesspool of people that refuse to learn how to play it, and bots. Not to mention the ridiculously long queue times since there are very few people who actually enjoy playing it compared to Aram or TT.

ARAM was great, glad they kept it, TT is great, just wish it was taken care of more and more people would play it. Dominion is not that great, and is more like a novelty of a game mode, like the ones they refuse to keep, that I would argue some are much better, and yes, I include URF in that.

I played URF a ton when it was live last year, and I don't think I have played that much before or since, in the same span that I played URF, and I never got bored of it. I think it is clear, by the fact I can't even log in to friggin fix my runes and masteries because the server has been made "busy" by the tons of people logging on this late, that it is more than popular enough.

Imo they should keep the map of dominion just take away stupid capture points and put URF modes stats in there. Imagine how wild URF would be on dominion map

EVERYTHING is popular when it is limited. Hence why diamonds are worth more than water, despite water being vital to survival. If diamonds were as common as water, they'd be worthless. And so to, if URF was as free as TT, it too would lose its value.

To be honest, I don't understand the choice they made to leave every champ up, guess they will quicly remove some of them (like zed for exemple) or the mode will just apply last year meta all the time :s

He must have also been botting on the EU thread with similar upvotes, or maybe the petition at the time that had even more than that.

While I'm not 100% disputing he could have been doing a touch of botting (I doubt anywhere near 10k worth), there were other areas outside of even the league boards (like Reddit) who were calling equally loud to keep it.

I don't understand posts like these. You want them to take away modes that involved hard work, completely new maps, new items, a range of balance effort and replace it with.... a troll mode?

I like urf. Its fun because its troll. There's no balance whatsoever. Brand Q's for days? Get perma stunned? Galia perma shield / invincibility? Yeah sure why not?

But the game is troll lol. Yeah, like you said, its for casuals but the entire game is casual already lol.

It would be a good idea atleast as a game mode on Custom/Coop so players can ˝train˝ hitting skillshoots,timers,try out combos,wombo-combos and other stuff.It would also help newer players to try out chapions;their delays,range,damage etc.

This would be one hell of a mode for practice and for trolling/fun. :)))

nah its has big flaws in the game mode. One of them cough cough sona. They would have to nerf the fuck out of her in that game mode before even considering making it stay or just permanently remove her from it.

Just because you don't like GOOD modes like 3s, Dom or ARAM doesn't mean many other people don't enjoy playing them. I for one don't heavily care about ARAM but I don't go wasting time making threads about it. So please stop making garbage threads like this about wanting them to keep a TEMPORARY mode that they've said will NEVER be permanent for a reason. They spent a lot more time and effort making those other modes then anything that went into making this, as this is controlled by a small buff that modifies simple aspects of the game.
