Then please don't bother to complain. Data means a lot because it actually proves how the champion is actually performing; instead of you just using smart clever words to try to trick the audience into thinking the champion is OP.

While this is true, perception can still show us useful information. If a champion is widely perceived to be overpowered, even if this may not be the case via data, it's very likely the champion is frustrating or lacks counterplay in some way.

Zed is a perfect example here. I don't honestly view him as overpowered, but I see him banned almost every single game because he is completely obnoxious to deal with. This absolutely warrants discussion, and it's useful to air out concerns about his power level while also working through his design.
