Uhm, well I got 7W and 3L in my provisionals and got put into Bronze III?? I know there is some MMR shit got to do with this but seriously I did worse in my provisionals last year but got a better rank. Why though? Just why?

Well initial thought:
If last season was your first season it generally places someone in silver as a starting place. From there it's all about how you do. It looks like this season your finished in Bronze 2. So this seasons MMR that it is used to determine placements is now the Bronze 2 MMR. So generally you can expect to drop down a few divisions from last season. So going from Bronze 2 to Bronze 3 is actually really good in terms of placement matches.
