I think they're talking about the Zed vs Viktor match up. It was Winterfox with Viktor and TSM that had Zed.

I was talking about Zed vs Karthus.

But yeah, that's multiple games with Zed... and the one game I watched today had Lee Sin in it.

I understand Riot doesn't want to nerf Lee Sin because he's "fun to play," but pros don't necessarily play in LCS games to have fun, ya know? I wonder if Zed will ever get hit by the nerf bat.

Did you actually watch the game, or did you only here it from other people? Because in TIP vs C9, Karthus only got ahead through his team. He got a solid early gank, picked up some kills with Requiem, and was solid after that. Hell, Lee was the backbone of that team.

I saw the game.

And yeah, I know. But that's, well, the point. Not every lane is just a 1v1 where junglers come to visit every once in awhile. LCS teams act as a single unit, if you ask me. If one person stumbles, the team suffers (hence the extremely low killscores, because LCS teams do their utmost best to never stumble).

I give props to Karthus and the team, but a lot of people are going to be concerned that Karthus will be nerfed because he beat Zed, jungler intervention or not.

But yeah, that Lee was on point all game.

Lee Sin isn't even a top tier jungler anymore... I don't understand why people still complain about him...

Well, he's constantly played in LCS for a reason.

The reason being that after the top tier junglers are banned and picked, he's typically left. Or at least that's what I've heard.

he's been played like maybe a half dozen times this split...

he's sor5t of the second tier pick that is fairly decent when all the good stuff is gone. Of all the junglers who have been picked more than once, he's the least picked I think. Possibly nunu.

Azir, Kass, Veigar, Eve and Elise are impossible to play right now, you'd have to be a very talented player to make them work

While I agree it's a worrying trend, I'd argue that they are the exception, not the rule.

Last two patches: Azir, Kass, and Veigar got gutted; J4, Kalista, Xerath, Katarina, Janna, Ahri, Fiddlesticks, Gnar, and Nidalee all got smaller nerfs.

Not to mention Azir, Kass, and Veigar are getting buffed in the next patch(es).

I started playing Viktor and really enjoyed him, all shortly before he started to see LCS play. ~~Now, I don't want to imply that LCS Analysts saw me playing Viktor and were like "We should try this!" But...~~ Since I really enjoyed him, I'm really worried what's going to happen now.

One third of my ranked games this season are with Viktor. I already knew you could outplay Zed if you were careful. You could outplay most people if you knew what you were doing. Everything was a skill matchup with him. I don't like that he's getting attention because I think he's in a good spot right now. I'm worried that if people think he's strong, he's not the "right kind" of strong and will see hard nerfs.

That about sums up my feelings on him. There is a lot of room for error while playing him, and screwing up with him can be very punishing. If you play him correctly, though -- if you make the right decisions and you're smart about how you itemize -- he feels very rewarding because of that.

This. I picked When top in one game and got flamed for the rest of the match. My idiot Yasuo mid kept diving into their team and had the nerve to ask why I wasn't ulting him...even though I did and he died before my ulti finished.

Have you ever played Karthus or against him. The only way he wins lane is if he gets fed or survives long enough to mid/late game to actually be threatening to the enemy. Buying boots first is a counter to him since you can move from his Q faster. If you dodge his Q you dodge 70% of his damage.

How so? He's fairly simple. The hardest part is looking at the mini map to make sure you time the R correctly... which is pretty easy to do.

Except you don't need to do that to do well. If you're talking about vs mobile champs.. every mage without a stun has this issue with their abilities. Did you also forgot about his W and how many Qs you can get off on one target with that?

The only easy part about Karthus is his ultimate, and you can still manage to screw that up if you time it too early or too late. But really, a wall that people can walk around or flash through, a mana-draining area of effect around you which requires getting quite into combat and a delayed Q that is fairly easy to see and dodge.

there is no balance team./ There is no balance. It is a cheap half-assed system of "counters". The system is not balanced, nor is it possible to balance such a system with "counters."

But LOL has always sucked at math.

the day I see my champs that I use regularly in LCS is a day I dread, since most of then are ether where so hevaly nerfed everyone stopped using them, or are just decent with nothing to special to write home about... in other words perfect targets for the riot nerf bat :(
