Sometimes I feel like pinging is useless

Ping 4 times in ~3 seconds that I am 'on my way' as Malphite and then ult in to start a teamfight. After the fight that we won, aced the enemy losing two of our own, someone on my team types "can you not just go in and warn us next time?"

Ping 'enemy missing' a couple times in my lane and ping warning to bot lane because I am sure that is where they are going. Bot gets kill and says "don't you love when mid doesn't call mia?"

This stuff makes me genuinely sad.

There are always idiots. However, if you keep doing the right thing (in this case, pinging your/enemy actions), the higher you climb the more people will cooperate.

I do remember that, for example, when I was climbing out of silver, asking if bot had flashes or my teammates had crucial skills (like Ashe arrow) was mostly ineffective. However, at higher elo, people do track flashes, ults etc and do provide that vital information. So getting used to the habit of asking and pinging was not wasteful at all.

Good luck, and hopefully it'll get better soon for you.
