I find it interesting that the game guide claims supports commonly go "support, jungle".
I'm referring to this http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/featured/new-player-guide#/champions/roles?_k=p4tmyz which shows supports filling the roles of support and jungle.
Because the only jungler who is even remotely a support is Nunu (who is more of a perfect mix of all roles, tank/fighter/mage/support), and I think that should change. Practically no support is capable of clearing the jungle without countless backing and wasted time.
With the upcoming assassin update I'm afraid the jungle will be even more crowded out by assassins. Gearing more support champions towards being able to jungle would be a natural way to deal with assassins and make some awesome plays such as counterganking and saving and buffing allies as a jungler rather than killing enemies.
I'm not asking for extremely strong support junglers, or lots of them, I just think it's bizarre that the official game guide claims supports go support or jungle. Regardless, Nunu should capitalize on his support traits and more support junglers should be viable. Karma's W change was a good attempt at creating a support jungler but she's far too weak against monsters to ever be seriously considered a viable jungler.
tl;dr game guide is hilariously wrong about supports jungling and we could use more supports able to jungle anyways so might as well add some or make small changes that allow a handful of supports to jungle.
