It would help when its very long and you have to do something real quick and you don't want the computer or laptop to go to sleep and stop the load because it has always done that to me.

Not seeing how they relate. If you're afraid of your computer going into sleep mode, wiggle the mouse before you get up to do whatever you're doing - just bought yourself another 20 minutes.

• I will have to go somewhere while its patching on my laptop and need to stop it. • I don't know how nice your wifi is, but it takes me from 5 – 30 minutes to update a Patch. • Have you recently had to download the Client? It takes literal hours. Some even days. • I would agree with you but I don't want to hope that when I have to get up, go somewhere, and come back hoping that my update is done before it goes to sleep.
It wouldn't hurt much and it would be very useful. It'd be nice if I had some support though...

Matthias91191 votes...why would it take 5 minutes if you "paused" it but 10 if you closed it and reopened it? It takes MAYBE 10-20 seconds to start downloading again on my PC.
Rew7111 votesBecause that's how pausing a system should work. When you pause, the Client will know that you have not finished and will hold the point where you are and what you've loaded so you will be able to put your computer to sleep and not worry about the system restarting. You can always finish it later. But if I were to close the Client, it would have to reload all the data starting over from scratch. It's annoying and would just save some time. Especially for new players who have to wait a whole day just to download the Client. It was not a couple months ago, it took me several days to redownload the Client because it had messed up.

I turn my monitors off by button press. way to annoying to have a computer in sleep mode just cause you went to make a sammich...
