What do you do when you are on Tilt?

Dedrius··1 votes·1,307 views

I Went on a pretty big winstreak and felt like I was playing well for a couple days. Now when I play I feel that I am not playing very well in a lot of aspects I usually do well at (decision making, CS, Early laning, ect.) and I have been losing more.

What do you guys do when you start to tilt to get back in the game?

A) Take a break from League, or B) Play a less stressful mode (such as Normal or ARAM)

Well your best bet is to give it a rest if you're tilting in a single day (like you lost 2 games in a row and want to recover them, but keep losing and you keep wanting tor ecover them and you tilt even more.)

Otherwise try to play some normals before ranking, as if to "warm up" and adopt a more conservative mindset (just farm properly and don't take unnecesary risks) and you should begin recovering.

The problem with playing normals is that my normal MMR is way lower than my ranked MMR so it causes me to play worse in ranked at times due to a sense of security of playing with lower ranks in normals.

So what? Get in a game at the lower MMR, feel good about the easy win, rock out to some good music (Tuna Melt-Tommy Trash) then get back into ranked. Sure, it'll be harder, but you'll have a good tryhard mindset to go on...

Usually when I have my friends at higher MMR's invited, I just think, "Don't die...take the right risks". Sounds dumb, but works for me.

Yeah I get that but I think "Oh last game I could have easily made this dive, I'll try it now" then I get tumble condemned under tower by a diamond vayne and I'm in trouble.

I get what you are saying though.

I typically take a break for an hour or two until I can get myself motivated again. I either just play some normal games or some other game until I have burnt away some of the stress.

For me personally, I find myself playing normals for a bit to get back in the right mindset. I usually play with some friends and get on voice chat, too! ^-^ If I'm super frustrated, I'll take a break from the game for a day or two.

Yeah I have usually found that playing with some friends is a good way to unwind after a long ranked game!

This makes no sense, you match history shows you endlessly playing Ranked Nami with the SAME, EXACT build with no normals, no build changes (You should be constantly adopting and not be stale), and no other champions.

Are you looking at a third party site? I've attached accurate match history of my summoner name. ^-^

(You should be constantly adopting and not be stale), and no other champions.

While I mostly play Nami in ranked (she's my main, and I can win pretty consistently with her), I do play several other champions in normals. :D That said, I'm on the skins team, so I'm not directly involved with game/balance changes. I play much more casually than most do. :P

In ARAM, sure. :P I told you, filthy casual. ;D

Oops, didn't notice that it was ARAM. Thank you for taking that instead of ignite.

I directly looked at your post profile --> match history, maybe the website freaked out and repeated Nami but yeah, all I saw was Nami matches with almost the exact builds.

I think it was all ranked matches, that could be it.

The right thing to do is to take a break, but this can be really hard. When my friends go on tilt, I advise them not to play games they feel they must win. Last night, I started to fall into that same trap, but was able to realize that I should listen to my own advice, and just called it a night.
