is there any notice that patch day is near earlier than 6-8 hours?

thats what I would guess the notice time is.

It really needs to be 2-3 days notice, so I have plenty of time to realize patch day is on x day, and I can set my alarm to wake me up 4 hours earlier than usual, so I can start re-installing the game since I always get stuck at 99% with patcher, that way Im not twiddling my thumbs for up to 4 hours waiting for the client to re-install.

now if you will excuse me I have to uninstall lol, just to re-install over a 4 hour period if im lucky.

I've never heard of anyone having that issue with updating, which would imply you've got some odd setup with your computer or internet connection.

That said, Patches happen in 2 week intervals, give or take a day (could be Wednesday, could be Thursday). So the next patch will likely be September 3rd. Check Surrender@20 for details on when the patch will happen, since they put articles up about it.

So there you go, your 2 week notice of when the next patch will happen, with the ability to know exactly when it will happen a day or two before it does.

Well one would think since Riot has been consistance with their patches that people would realize that patches are usually Wednesday/Thursdays! If anything i think their 24 hour notice is more than enough time, and even then they do give some notice sometimes as early as Sunday! But they are always working on the patches, so it wouldnt be wise to say too far in advance just in case something was to happen with the patch, which has happen in the past!
