Is League about Perfect Balance?
I say yes, and I will also say no.
Riot has made it clear when the balance team would hardly talk to us on what should be implemented into a game they try to base off a communities input. And I will continue in saying, that more than art, the balance team is a major part of League, if not the second major part. They are the ones who give champions their power and abilities to fight and/or sustain.
When Mordekaiser's changes came, everyone (just by looking at them) knew something wasn't right. Playing as Mordekaiser, I found it hard just to survive when the changes went live. Mordekaiser is hard to play and even I would have a hard time balancing him. But, if I had a choice, I would make him more into a Fighter again, rather a Bruiser. I would had nerfed his W's power and raised the armor and magic resist a little. Nerfed his E to give his Q 110% AD and when alone it would deal 175% AD damage. His R would give him bonus AD and AP as well from what the opponent had. Now, his Q may be powerful but it's also close ranged, so the risk is worth it while his E is just a poke. His W will allow for him to get close enough with taking only so much damage.
I didn't mind Veigar's changes that much. His Q may not be the same but it sure does better when laning. His E may have a 0.75 second wait time but it doesn't change much. Its still useful as a trap. His W may also deal less damage, but I would hope so, considering how many people on these boards hate things that are broken. And his R just deals less. All in all, I can still get enough AP to annihilate everyone.
When I first saw Kassadin's changes, I kept wondering why. He was barely coming out of his over nerfed prison only for them to nerf his Q and R.
Meanwhile, people are begging for nerfs to Lee Sin, Nidalee, Jarvan IV, and many others that are very overpowered.
This is not Perfect Imbalance. This is just Unbalanced, and unfair to many players who worked so hard just to improve those champions you nerfed again.
It's sad that I can easily play Zed or Fizz in one game, but it takes 2 or 3 to learn Teemo.
