I'm posting this here because i'm assuming it's some joke I never got but where in the hell does the N come from? As far as I know turrent isn't a word in any language.

Where do people get the N in TURRETS from??

well lots of words have that strangeness to them but turrent adds a letter which i find annoyingly unusual some words commonly mispronounced in the same type of way as wolf -water (more of a substitution of d instead of t sound) -roof -creek

I think the added N might be the result of people just relaxing their vocal muscles when talking, resulting in a kind of a flowing transition to the ending T instead of a hard stop. It's like Nuclear vs Nucular; saying it wrong puts less stress on your vocal cords and it turns into a habit.
