I think it's now confirmed both are 'she,' as of the 'EXECUTED' article. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/page/executed-terrible-truth-about-jungle-monsters "We excluded Scuttlecrab from this list because she's a nice gal who'd never hurt anybody." At least 1 was confirmed female for a while now though. (As other's said, a patch note somewhere a while back..)

Which makes me a little sad. My headcanon was Herald side was she, and dragon side was he, and they were both wondering back and forth looking for each other. Lost, scared, and lonely, but were always too afraid to cross lanes to keep looking for each other. Probably because of their 'safe' spot. (Side note: you never actually 'kill' scuttles, they just run to their hiding spot and become a ward/speed boost when they take near lethal damage, and stay 'hidden' till they heal their wounds. But maybe if they ever got too far away from hiding spot, they would actually die?)

I think I'm still going to think of dragon side one as 'he,' regardless of what Riot says.

Master Yi used to have a bug that let him deal damage to himself. So it is, in fact, possible to get killed fighting scuttle crab. Also, Teemo shrooms can be activated by scuttle, lol

I always thought it would be funny if scuttle randomly became enraged and started chasing you down in the river (Like a 3% chance per auto). It would crit every hit, move as fast as it's dash move, and if you aren't on a tank jg it two-shots you. I think this would be a hilarious thing to add during april fools or something, how pissed would you be if scuttle just turns around and killed you!
