Transgressor1 votesHe's a blood mage. Blood mages don't seem to me like people who can swing scythes made from blood at supersonic speeds, nor fire railguns made from blood droplets. Sorry, were a specific direction to be taken one way or another, he should feel more like Katara than anything else.
Vladimir has always been about slowly melting down his opponents by using blood to heal himself and whittle them down. Never about fancy blood magic anime stuff.

If you know some blood mages, please tell them to email Riot for input on Vladimir's character design. Maybe have them stress contracts with Lucifer and goat sacrifice while you're at it.
As far as Vlad's kit goes, it does't have much to do with blood at all. Change the visuals slightly and it would still work. Hell, until the rework Mord's Q was basically the same animation as Vlad's E. As a character the only thing they need to keep is a ranged ability to heal, other than that they don't really have much of a base for his design anyway. They can't even come up with skins, seeing as 3 of them are vampire when they stress that he isn't a vampire.

Baron of Bread1 votesAs much as there is a lot of coolness in Deadman's Wonderland, I don't recall there being any characters from it that I would like influencing Vladimir. Maybe a new champion (or Aatrox I guess, give him a use for that bloodwell other than the revive part), but I think Vlad needs to stay as a mage type.

They were quite different before the rework since Vlad doesn't actually want to be in the heart of a fight, whereas Mordekaiser lived/lives there. Morde was also much more durable than Vlad and had a higher damage output if he was within range. I would say they filled rather different niches, despite being built similarly.

Vlad doesn't thrive at the edges of a fight, seeing as he needs to be in the center to be effective with his E, plus he can heal from anyone within range. They didn't play the same at all, but you picked them if you needed AP and some durability.
Now, they're going to ruin Vlad the same way. Probably the opposite direction-- so a burst mage instead of a "juggernaut"-- but still going to ruin him by removing his secondary role.

I pick Vlad if we need a strong DPS AoE mage that doesn't instantly explode. I picked Mordekaiser when we needed an AoE AP aggro magnet.

The Ecdysiast1 votesIt didn't feel finished because it wasn't finished. The mangaka had a baby, and had to take a break. The show wasn't quite popular enough to be one where they finish before the manga (Gods be praised), but as a result it has a finished manga with an unfinished anime.
