We should make "compensation buffs" a new meme

Well, a meme is when something funny happens, right? And then it spreads because people either love it, like, say, Leeroy Jenkins, or they absolutely hate it, as Arrow-In-the-Knee turned out. People re-tell it, and suddenly it becomes popular and well known, then people start refering to it as a "Meme," wether it's good or bad.

At least, that's my understanding of how it works. And I'd say that just kind of... "Happens." As in, something you don't conciously and/or purposefully make happen. Most times people try to force a meme, it typically doesn't become one.
