Why does everyone call it "auto attack"?

Because you automatically keep attacking if you don't press any other button...?

Because they automatically aim, fire and hit. They take no thought or effort beyond clicking on someone.

So they're entirely automatic.

Only fair that they're the strongest form of damage in the game, right? No effort/skill required, all the reward. ^^
