Are all the "league is dying" or "Why we hate league" videos on youtube a meme I'm late on?

Normally I watch league videos that are just fails or something for laughs but lately my recommended videos have been filling up with videos on why league sucks or why X game is better.

I know when Overwatch came out there were jokes about Overwatch and League cross overs and what not about certain champion/hero similarities but now i'm not too sure if I am just super ignorant to the joke or if people are serious about this whole "Death to league" thing

It isn't that we want it to die, its that we are all sad it is. They stopped listening to their playerbase and we have seen what happens to games that do that with runescape, wow, etc....

People have been saying that FOREVER. It's just that with the advent of Dynamic Queue and Overwatch and the exodus of big name League players for various reasons, people have been banging the drum louder and harder than ever.

League is still just as popular as ever. It's still one of the highest played multiplayer games in the world, even after it took a hit from Overwatch.

No it's just them quiting because the game isn't really that enjoyable now.
