Only the new client had 10 bans implemented.

Professional players will be locked into using the new client.

Many regular players will continue using the legacy client until it is removed.

They need it the most. In pro play you don't ban what's OP you ban what your opponent is OP with. Since there's 5 opponents you need 5 bans. In normal play, you're meeting your anonymous opponent for the first time. So you just ban what's OP or what counters you

You do not understand.

So tell me what's the difference between 10 bans and 0 bans in pro play? None. They will always pick-or-ban the strongest champions in their meta.

Bans don't cause diversity in pro play.

I'd go one step forward and say it kills it.

Or did you enjoy watching Orianna being picked in every season before? Because Orianna is one of those "If everything else fails" picks, which was shown countless times in the past.
