Sorry, but it's better to help push a lane that is already at an advantage than to pull resources to try and defend a losing lane. The game is offense more than defense, it's a siege game so it's best to push through any weakness and if that comes at the cost of someone losing being forced to stand their ground then it's still for the benefit of the team as long as you can defend.

Besides, if you can actually stand your ground and simply not lose your lane completely then they are pulling resources to fight you. Don't feel bad they are jumping you, as long as you can hold your tower then just laugh at their wasted attempts to take you down while your team is busy taking their turrets. Be a distraction and enjoy it, you literally get to laugh in their face as they are so busy chasing you they are losing.
