Eh, it's just my personal headcannon that he had a scandal with a noxian prostitute (I say scandal because the noble class did have a large amount of influence before Swain and Darius started cleaning that up) and kept it secret because Boram's enemies were his enemies.

I actually used that in a fanfic I wrote.
