Guess it´s about time to confess the "rework" didn´t change anything...infact it just made it even more important to counterpick Kassadin than it had been before the "rework", as there´s just no way to harass kassadin away from getting farm ever for an AP-Champ now. And besides running an AD-Laner against him you also still need a solid plan to end the game by min 40-45, as his lategame is pretty much untouched due to keeping his scalings far too high.

And he wouldn´t even be hard to fix...just make him a goddamn melee already, forcing him to stay in a fight and autoattack (more than 1) to deal dmg - instead of allowing him to be influencial enough from the outside with e/q and r to some degree...only closing in to savely burst someone down or if there´s no chance for the opponent to retaliate due to the shield.

As it is now...the pre-"rework" Kassadin had been more healthy for the game overall.

You had no idea how unhealthy pre-rework kassadin was, did you? His ultimate scaled just as hard, if not harder than his basic abilities, and his lack of counterplay meant that he would kill someone in the blink of an eye with no time to react. Post-rework, kassadin pretty much does the same thing except his base damages are lower, his early game isn't as weak, he can't spam riftwalk, and you have time to react to his burst combo.

Now to fix his health in the current game I would give his riftwalk a 1s channel, and the portal in the output would be visible in that time so enemies at least have a window to react to his gap closing. His escapes would be roughly unchanged. An additional change would be to increase the passive damage on his W ( make it scale per ability level), and increase his AA range while decreasing the scaling of his active W and E slightly to ensure his damage cannot be instantaneous burst. However this might push him over the edge of redundancy as it wouldn't fit his design, nor fantasy as an anti-mage assassin.
