Discussion: is it a little too hard to win?

So I've been playing a lot since this new patch. To be honest, I've been incredibly excited for the new preseason patch because I got really tired of the old meta and some of the gameplay flow cracks (imbalances) started to really show.

I was very glad when I heard that riot was working on changing gameplay flow to stop snowballing on extreme levels. However, something that I've noticed is that it's almost a little TOO hard to win when you do well early, and a little too hard to lose when doing badly.

The spawn timers are really forgiving now, that's great, but they may just be too forgiving.

I'm posting this in gameplay and strategies to get some opinions. Is the gameplay flow now too nice to the team that doesn't do as well earlier in the game?

Well, the new jungle and dragon xp is definitely designed to help players and teams catch up, but that's the only new mechanic I can think of that directly accelerates the losing team. The other changes, like spawn timers and inhibitor changes just flatten out snowballing. I think mostly it's just having to adjust to a new system, and it feels different because it is different. I think it'll be okay in the long run once people get a feel for what to expect and when, and the decreased snowballing will reward consistent good play, and making good calls in comebacks.
