The existence of items.
So it seems weird to me that some items have multiple options to fulfill the exact same need, but slightly different so you have options even while trying to build. A great example of this would be

. They are both armor/health items one is slightly more tank focused, while the other is more damage focused.
Although then other items exist where only one or none of the item combinations exist. Examples like, armor/atk spd, armor/tenacity, spellvamp/anything... seriously spellvamp is on 2 items...

I feel like this affects the game massively in terms of champion viability, because some match-ups become basically impossible because the single item that is needed for the match up doesn't exist, is so weak that it's not a viable item to build, or the item is tailored to work against a different type of champion.
vs AD casters or bruisers.
Then you have other items like

which allows you to pick the degree by which you need one stat over another, while still getting the same stats. Other examples are
and
,
and
,
and
,
and
, exc.
Basically i'm saying there needs to be more items in the game that can be used to address almost any situation, even if it isn't conventional in the meta. This would add tons of variety in terms of lane match ups and would even help the general balance of the game in the long run i feel.
