PSA: If an ally is behind

deadlychuck··45 votes·2,427 views

Against a lane that got fed off of other teammates, the final score of the game is unlikely to favor them, even if they play everything correctly.

If the lane opponent is 4/0, against your teammate at 0/1, chances are that their final 2/7 score was a result of factors outside of their reach. The amount of toxic crap that comes from players who see someone behind, and assume that they're making incorrect plays, BECAUSE they're behind is so short sighted and logically unsound.

gets dived

"just farm under turret and paly defensive noob, don't you know how to cs under turret?"

AD comes mid and starts taking all the farm, chases after you bot when you try to rotate there to scrape some together

"lul noob 160 cs at 30 minutes where'd you get the boost"

Was 0/0/1 through early game once until the 3/0 zed started tower diving me every single time his ult was up. Then I was blamed for feeding him...

I get the same kind of crap top from junglers who have no business jungling. Will come to gank at less than 25% health, I'm playing a tank, and they go in thinking I would have any damage against like, Camille or Riven or something. Suddenly my laner has 2 kills from my jungler, the second time they have double buffs, I've still yet to die, and suddenly I'm getting tower dove and blamed by bot and mid for "Feeding top" and "not knowing how to lane", etc etc.

SanKakU1 votes

Ah man that happens to me, too. Sometimes I just want to be able to purchase a ward to keep MY OWN jungle ally from coming into my lane.

Canastus2 votes

Not even sure who's to blame except the guy who didn't ban Zed. Lethality is still hilariously broken, so it's no wonder that Zed is completely off the rails in his current state.

That stuff tilts me so hard.

Facing a Ziggs mid lane, I'm Malz, he leaves lane for a second, throws ult, double kill bot.

'Why didn't you follow noob mid!?' - Our ADC.

People who blame their teammates couldn't give fewer shits about facts.

bot lane pushes up ALL game, no wards but in lane bushes

feeds the obviously roaming talon I warned them would roam cause he is talon and picked into my Oriana

"Way to feed Talon mid. kys"

is sitting at 2/0/1 with over 65 cs over the talon and have mid tower down sees the adc down 40 cs and 0/5/0

Yup. I'm totally the one at fault here you can't ward, can't stop pushing up after the 6th ganks from MID alone, and when I roamed to help you, you flamed me for "stealing cs" when I was simply trying to catch the enemy adc but inadvertently took the caster minions they were walking past.

People just want to blame, and I swear, bot lanes (adc or supports, pick one) are the most blaming-est bunch ever. Be it the jungler, whining at top for not tp'ing down, angry at mid when they refuse to stop shoving and surprised the enemy who pushes faster roams (on talon <_<). It's hilariously dumb, but it is nearly every game it feels. Is the ONLY reason I support anymore, so at least I know it is one less person in bot lane feeding their butt off.

I disagree with the overall analysis here.

You need to take accountability for controlling your lane opponent. If he's roaming and getting kills, you had best be getting free towers and taking it on that you can deal with a fed lane opponent.

Take this game for example: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2448289921/216460380?tab=overview

Kassadin roamed early twice, and each time I took his mid turret (mid outer at 10min, mid inner at 15min). No hesitation, he roamed and I reacted and pushed hard (while pinging my bot lane back). He still got fed some kills off of them and did well, but I got enough pressure back that we maintained a gold lead despite all the kills he was wracking up (and had map pressure on top of that gold lead). My final scoreline of 13/9/13 definitely wasn't great - largely burdened by a few deaths where the fed kassadin one-shot me, but it was reasonable because my actions kept the team ahead. If instead I tried to follow late and we just lost the fights bot lane, we'd have lost the game and I'd have had a scoreline more like 7/11/8. It would have looked bad because I let my lane opponent put his team ahead and didn't get anything in return.

If your lane opponent is getting fed off of other lanes, that's still your problem. Even if it's a TF ult'ing and you're pinging like mad and saying he's 6 - still your problem. Which I don't mean to be insane and imply that your allies aren't at fault too (they are when they're ignoring the pings) but you still need to do something about it. You can't let your lane opponent create pressure and force your allies to back off and just get a wave of free farm in return. That's too little of a penalty for the advantage he's creating out of the pressure. Even if your allies don't die, they'll give up tower damage and lose a lot of CS due to the pressure. You need to make sure you take more, because there's always a chance they'll have a successful roam. If you're not punishing roams, you're going to lose to superior opponents.

The way I measure my success in a game? If my lane opponent and I swapped teams, would the result have been the same? Or would it have been questionable? If my lane opponent could have carried a game I couldn't - I lost. Vice versa too.

You're assuming the reason the opponent is ahead is from roaming, that's not what i'm talking about, and if that's how they get ahead, then no shit it's still the lane's fault.

If the opponent is ahead because of an early game teamfight, or a poorly executed gank onto them. Then the fault of the enemy getting further ahead, isn't on the laner. Thanks to how much the game snowballs, getting a sizable gold lead, gives an insurmountable lead.

E.g. Enemy ADC is 5/0, but our ADC is 0/1. Then chances are that they will continue to fall further behind in farm, and kills. As the game progresses due to lane pressure and higher kill potential of the lane. In this case however, this isn't due to the enemy ADC roaming. It's purely based on support deaths and an early team fight advantage given to the enemy ADC, created by the jungle over committing to a fight at dragon which brought both mid and bot lanes into the brawl. The result was the enemy ADC getting 3 kills, and the allies ADC dying receiving no kills. Fast forward 20 minutes after no allied jungle ganks, the enemy ADC now has a cs lead, 8/2, and the allied ADC is 1/5.

There is no way to determine based on that score, if the allied ADC was playing reckless or got overwhelmed by the lead of the enemy lane or ganks. What's even more irrational, is when allies expect the ADC to commit onto fights when at this kind of a disadvantage or make assumptions about how they played a fight, and then rage when they don't do those things. There seems to be an assumption that despite,at best, half paying attention to the trades, that you have a better understanding of the champion's capabilities given the relevant circumstances, than the person who has been playing the game from the prospective of the champion in the circumstances.

If this 1/5 marksmen doesn't use their only mobility tool to attempt a kill on the moderately low health, but fed, enemy in a 1v1. Then you get angry at them for not doing so. You've made 2 assumptions. 1) That they have the damage to actually pull off that trade. 2) That the current situation of the 1v1 wasn't a result of them already using their mobility, thereby putting it on CD.

Ah, different perspectives. To me the latter is the "no shit it's not their fault" point :P

This is unrealistic to be frank.

Last week I picked Oriana cause we had a great combo with it. My laner then picked Talon. He was constantly just hard shoving, hard shoving, even his jungler would show up not to gank, but just to help push me back or burn a summoner and talon would roam. No way I could follow immediately cause he would get there twice as fast no matter what, or just kill me 1v1 in the jungle if he really wanted to.

You aren't just "taking a tower" if you aren't like, Ziggs, or Zed into that, and if you are pushed up that hard, then likely the enemy jungler is just gonna come kill you, and probably the mid laner will be back shortly to help. It isn't just "yeah take a tower", unless your laner is peacing out 99% of the time and the enemy jungler absolutely ignores you, which isn't going to happen.

In that situation, the same applies to your jungler. If the enemy jungler is repeatedly showing in your lane and not even trying for a kill out of the deal (and just trying to push) your jungler should be using the knowledge of his whereabouts to make plays elsewhere. He's responsible for keeping up with his 'lane' opponent.

As for your options? You can still clear the wave quickly, then go to the opposite lane to try a gank yourself. That's really your best bet. You can also let the wave build at your turret then send a double wave with a hard push to do some good damage without over-extending yourself (that is how I took the two towers that game, I was Ahri who is no better at pushing towers than Ori [although safer when ult is up], but sending 6 casters, a cannon, and 4+ melees in to a tower when Kassadin was going bot lane after a push made fast work of them).

From what I usually see, the laner who goes against the now fed opponent (not by their own fault) doesnt respect their advantage and still pushes up in the lane. If your lane is 0-3 in their favor for kills, then honestly just back the fuck up and wait to scale, a gank, or just make it a farm lane and miss cs if you have to, to deny them the kill. If its a solo lane you can swap lanes top/mid if needed. Ive done it a lot for my mid laner who gets behind or just has a bad matchup and it usually ends up really great for us.

Xonra2 votes

Sadly the problem there is, that bot lane that fed my mid is also now losing bot, my fed mid laner is diving me with their jungler, and 2-3 minutes later bot has lost their tower and now it is a 4-1 cause my bot never leaves bot, and my jungler is off "power farming" still down 40 cs in the jungle somehow.

I just tell people to farm most the time. Because it works. Then I get an ally has been slain another 5 times. :(

UUGH, I know, it's really annoying when people feed my enemy laner and blame me when I die, even if it's only one time. :/ I (almost) always ping MIA, and when I don't I apologize, so my teammates can't blame me when they die by the roaming support or midlaner or whoever.

lol ikr, i was playing ez mid an i got counter picked by fizz so i took exhaust and played safe. well my dumbass lucian decided to invade the enemy kha zix jungle and get caught out by blitzcrank and fizz ofc my support comes an helps him and escapes im low hp but fizz is also low so i go in on him and he puts ignite on me and gets another kill so now fizz has 3 kills at fucking lvl 3 and well i was blamed for feeding him his next 4 kills cause he could tower dive me anytime he felt like lol.

I remember once I died to riven while playing as nasus at like...level 2. No big deal I've dealt with the 1/0 riven before I grabbed my cloth armor come back to lane 1 minute later...riven is 4/0 while I'm just 0/1...I got blamed harshly for riven being fed at that point.
