Veigar's mana costs
Okay, so I've never been a fan of this style of social media, but after reading IronStylus's defense of it, I have decided to give it a try and see if anything can come of it.
I have been a fan of veigar for quite a while, he's been incredibly fun to play. But his mana costs really seem out of line compared to a lot of the newer champs recently. A great place to start is his ult.
Over the past few months I've noticed riot has been reducing the cost of a lot of the older champions's ults to be more in line with the newer champs. However veigar's ult is still 125/175/225 mana. Doesn't 225 mana seem a little too much for the current state of the game?
Also, another thing that has been bothering me is veigar's passive. Don't get me wrong, on paper it's a really great passive. But I've noticed that I still have to buy a chalice just to have enough mana to stay in lane sometimes. Isn't it odd that for a champ with a built in chalice needs to buy a chalice just to keep up with the other champs that build chalice? I understand that getting tear is also a favored choice of many veigar players, but dispite having a chalice passive veigar still runs oom very quickly if he is regularly stacking his q. And a simple full combo drains over half of his mana pool early game.
Is there any thing that can be done to address these issues? or am I merely blowing things out of proportion? I love playing veig, but I feel that due to his high mana costs and passive laning phase there are just too many better choices atm.
