Riot, what's the deal with Deathfire Grasp?

You claim that 0 counterplay instantaneous burst is toxic to gameplay, and even nerfed LeBlanc for it. Yet this item still remains, which promotes such an "instagib" playstyle. With all your modernization and cleanup of the item shop, why don't you rework/remove DFG?

Deathfire doesn't burst champions down. What comes after it, however...

If you get deathfire'd, you have more incentive to try and dodge further (magic) damage.
