Suggestion: Veigar's W falls faster the closer it is to the center of the Event Horizon.

Not too drastic, just something like 0.5-0.75 seconds at the center and the usual 1.25 seconds at the stun boundary. That way enemies have to decide whether they want to stick near the center and have space to dodge Veigar's Q or skirt the edges and risk getting stunned. Thoughts?

Edit: this would be alongside the changes that are happening in PBE.

Or how about a 30% slow inside the cage?

I dont play Veigar. So I have no idea if this is good or now but what about making W radius area bigger? Big enough that if you are inside E you will be hit no matter what.

What is this dark magic? This is actually a good idea ... instead the usual complaints and baseless assumptions.

"Either get hit by the mass damage AoE spell or take a stun so I can setup the rest of my combo anyway."

If Riot absolutely must keep the stun delay, then all abilities that affect a champion's movement speed or allow them to dash/blink should be disabled within Event Horizon's AOE throughout its existence— including the wind-up period. Current Veigar stands a mild chance against mobile champions because he can immediately stun enemy champions if he uses his stun skillfully. PBE Veigar's E is a joke to anyone with a dash no matter how well he uses it. I'd prefer to keep the current, immediate-stun version of Veigar's E; it gives him a chance against all champions, mobile or immobile, and the stun is a necessity for landing W. 1.25 seconds is plenty of time for someone to avoid Dark Matter, even if he/she is inside the cage. If the new Event Horizon has a delay and prevents enemies from using mobility skills while in the AOE, Veigar will still need a buff on the "falling time" of Dark Matter to give him a chance to hit anyone inside the cage (unless we otherwise find a way to force enemies to walk into the actual stun line... Using Q to that end doesn't count because it still lowers his full burst).

Everyone seems to want to buff veigar but don't you understand the reason they are nerfing him? He is op as hell. Point and click ult that scales off of opponents ap as well as your own and potentially infinite ap from q. Not to remind you that his stun is incredibly long and aoe. He can practically stun the whole other team in team fights.

Hmm. I'd rather the power just be pushed into something less technical or more consistent. Course, I'm happy about the cooldown buff on dark matter.

I'd really rather just see Dark Matter do more damage than become more reliable. If you wanted to buff it.

That said this is a neat idea. Part of it might just be that I am too devoted to what veigar was. It seems like your suggestion was born of trying to buff veigar, and make a healthy spell. But It doesn't feel like something that necessarily belongs on veigar's kit.

I'd like to see this concept on another champ. :D

You honestly i wasnt having any problem hitting them with the W in conjunction with the E. I would place the E in a spot i knew would trap them unless they flashed or dashed, then i would drop W in a spot where in order to dodge it they would need to be stunned, the hit radius on the W is pretty big so they rarely dodged it. The delay on the stun actually works in the W's favor whereas before the stun could end before W lands due to tenacity and people would get away unscathed.

BUT. Wouldn't it fall /slower/ if it was approaching the event horizon? That's what they told me in astronomy :(

Not to play devil's advocate, but isn't the stun design part of the counter-play? If you are decent enough to dodge the stun, why should you be punished further? You are already stuck within a relatively small circle (unless you use flash or some blink) and can still be hit by the relatively large hit box that is Dark Matter.

Going along the lines of making it so simply having them in the cage is more valuable, what if Darkmater landing within Event Horizon gave a partial refund on it's mana cost.
