By currently buying hextech mystery champion shards for 195 RP you'll get ~1843 blue essence per shard on average. If you spend about $110 you can get all of the blue essence for urfwick.
Edit: These numbers will only be accurate if you bought and disenchanted shards before the change over to blue essence, it'll likely cost more to buy after.

It depends on what champ you get. I have about 1000 blue essence. So I will have about 6500 blue essence. That is no where near Urfwick
how does 1 shard give you that much blue essence. i just bought 1 and it gave me 200
I am seriously disappointed in Riot right now. I was one of the few lucky ones to purchase the urfwick skin back when it was first released, and that bit of history is what makes my account feel special when i choose to use skins like that. Being a long standing member of the league of legends community should be rewarded, not cheapened by selling event exclusive skins to anyone who wishes to own it. I hope you are planning on doing the same with other rare skins like Black Alistair, Human Ryze, and Silver Kayle, because to specifically bastardize a few of us, rather than shoving a stick through the heart of all of us, would add insult to injury.
