To whomever suggested that we watch Altered Carbon
I thank you for your suggestion. It's great so far, and I'm on episode 7 now.

You're welcome. I enjoyed it a lot too
I couldn't get into it. I got two episodes in and didn't care. Should I give it another shot?
Tbh I tried watching it, I got through like 5 episodes, and found it pretty bad. The effects were cool, but thats the only real thing i liked about it. The main character also imo doesn't fit the role to well.
You can stop now tbh. 8-10 are kind of duds with how they chose to end the first season.
I like the world of the show much more than i liked the way the plot played out but i can live with that. It was pretty good and for a show i went in blind to, hard to call disappointing.
I loved it. I wish Netflix could maintain that level of engagement in their other shows... I loved the first season of Jessica Jones, but the new one was a grind.
Sadly, it's more or less a one-season show.
They set up a world. They set up the various histories and events. But they left it in a spot where nobody is really needed anymore.
Sure, that means the main protagonist can go on a new quest. But the quest he's left with is pretty binary and overall mostly futile. There's not really anyplace else they can take this story except as how he deals with others as he goes to fulfill his grand objective.
Not to say Season 1 wasn't great, because it was a very good season. It just locked itself out.
