Watching LCK Champions Summer Finals, Summday's GP landed a barrel crit into Faker's Riven, did 25% hp to her and the holw crowd goes WHOOO.

If they saw what those barrels do now a days they'd freak the fuck out.

And then you realize that ADC's can do that with 2 uncounterable, undodgeable, interactive and fun auto attacks.

But GP always dealt insane DMG with barrels, he always half hp'd everything other than tanks that got hit by a crit barrel. If anything he did more DMG back then since his barrels were beyond broken (60% Armor pen instead of 40% right now + more bonus DMG on barrels back then + more DMG on Q back then).

I guess you are talking about Bruiser-/Tankplank that ran Grasp? Ofc he is going to do less DMG than glascannon.
